Youngsters Mitch Grigg (117) and Lewis Johnston (107) posted the highest Dream Team scores of their short careers. Top-scorer Scott Thompson (136) and Sam Jacobs (104) gained personal bests for the season, as Adelaide defeated Melbourne on the weekend. Brad Crouch rounded out the top five with 110 Dream Team points.
Top Five
Scott Thompson 136
Mitch Grigg 117
Brad Crouch 110
Lewis Johnston 107
Sam Jacobs 104
Thompson
Scott Thompson was back to the form which saw him selected in the 2012 All-Australian team, picking up a mammoth 136 points. It’s been ten weeks since Thommo scored a ton as he responded well with 33 possessions, seven tackles and a goal in a best-on-ground display.
Grigg
The sweet left-footed Mitch Grigg has been improving each week since making his debut against Geelong in Round 17 and it was no surprise to see the young gun pick up 117 Dream Team points on the weekend. With 21 possessions, seven tackles and a goal, Griggy ($211,300) could be a great trade-down option as we head into Grand Final week.
Crouch
Brad Crouch has scored more than 100 points in four of his past five games, including 110 points against Melbourne. After entering the season simply as a cash cow option, Crouchy’s price has risen remarkably to sit at $433,800 from just 13 games.
Johnston
Lewis Johnston kicked six goals including four in the last quarter to reach 107 Dream Team points. Johnston also kicked the final ever goal at AAMI Stadium as his price rose to $236,800 – the perfect player to downgrade to in your forward line if need be.
Jacobs
Sam Jacobs played the lone ruck role as he went on to score his first ton of the season. The big Sauce collected 42 hit-outs and a goal on his way to amassing 104 Dream Team points.
Grand Final Week
Don’t forget its Grand Final week in Dream Team this week. Good luck to all the coaches who made the cut.
