Brisbane has matched Adelaide’s offer for Lions Academy forward Johnathan Freeman at this morning’s father/son and academy player bidding meeting.
Adelaide bid with its third round pick at this morning’s meeting at AFL House, forcing Brisbane to match this with its next available pick to secure Freeman.
The Brisbane Lions FC is now bound to select Freeman at the 2013 NAB AFL Draft with its round four selection.
The impressive 196cm key forward represented Queensland at this year’s national under 18 championships and attended last week’s draft camp in Melbourne.
The 2013 AFL Exchange Period starts today.
