The Adelaide Football Club wishes to advise that player Shaun McKernan has agreed to change SANFL Clubs from South Adelaide to Glenelg, effective immediately.
Adelaide General Manager of Football Administration Phil Harper said, “We wish to thank both South Adelaide and Glenelg for their assistance in putting Shaun’s football opportunities as the key priority in all discussions.”
South Adelaide and Glenelg mutually agreed for Shaun to move clubs, and from the Adelaide Football Club’s perspective the decision was about what provides Shaun with the best opportunity to gain selection for the Crows.
Recruited with pick No.28 in the 2008 AFL National Draft, McKernan has played 23 games for Adelaide since making his AFL debut in Round 14, 2009. His 2012 season was interrupted by a fractured jaw and suspension.
