Stats that matter
Freo midfielder Michael Barlow is ranked 15th in the AFL for total disposals (407).
The Crows have won three of their past four matches against Fremantle, but the Dockers won the most recent battle by seven points in Round 10.
Dockers star Nat Fyfe is seventh in the competition for contested possessions (207) and fifth for hard-ball gets (84).
According to Champion Data ranking points, Ricky Henderson is one of the most-improved players in the competition in the past month. Henderson’s ranking has jumped 47.8 points, from 65.5 to 113.3 between Rounds 14-17.
Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs is third in the AFL for hit-outs to advantage (120).
Freo defender Michael Johnson has stepped up in the absence of injured teammate Luke McPharlin. Johnson has taken 74 uncontested marks this season – ranked third in the League.
Richard Douglas, who had a game-high eight inside 50ms on Sunday, is ranked second in the AFL for forward 50m entries (88) this season. Dougy is also fourth in the AFL for score assists (26).
The stats suggest Douglas is one of the hardest two-way runners in the game, ranked second for combined inside (88) and rebound (37) 50ms (125).
Fremantle has the No.1 ranked defence in the AFL, conceding the fewest inside 50ms of any team. The Dockers also force their opposition into error, ranked second in marks from opposition kicks and third in tackles.
A key to beating the Dockers will be interrupting their mark chains. Freo likes to retain possession of the ball, ranked No.1 in uncontested marks and second in short kicks.
Adelaide has a scoring accuracy of 56 per cent this season – ranked bottom four in the AFL.
Crows forward Josh Jenkins is top-10 in the League for marks inside 50m (36).
Goalkicking midfielder Matthew Wright has averaged 25 possessions and two goals in his past three games against Fremantle. Rory Sloane also has a good record against the Dockers, averaging 25.5 touches and a goal in the last four hit-outs between the two sides.

Sandilands, Suban tipped to tackle Crows – West Australian
Fremantle coach Ross Lyon expects Aaron Sandilands and Nick Suban to return for their clash with a resurgent Adelaide at Patersons Stadium on Saturday night. Suban has missed the past two games with a calf problem and Sandilands didn't make the trip to Melbourne for the loss to Richmond due to illness.
No panic at Freo as top-four hopes take a hit – AFL.com.au
ROSS Lyon says Fremantle's focus is on next round's opponent Adelaide rather than September after the Dockers' top-four hopes took a hit against Richmond on Sunday. The Dockers entered Sunday's clash at the MCG in fifth spot on the ladder, level with the fourth-placed Sydney Swans on 46 premiership points but almost 16 percentage points behind the reigning premiers.
