More than 800 young Crows fans and their families converged on AAMI Stadium on Tuesday night for the Club’s annual Junior Members Coaching Clinic.
Hosted by Crows players and staff, the hour-long clinic was an exclusive opportunity for Junior Members to meet their heroes and hone their football skills.
Rory Sloane’s handball drill proved a hit. Ricky Henderson and Matthew Jaensch got physical in the tackling drill, while Josh Jenkins encouraged participants to take a ‘speccy’ on the ruck bag. Reliable kicks Ian Callinan and Lewis Johnston were among the players helping at the goalkicking stations.
Forward Jared Petrenko said the players enjoyed putting a smile on the faces of the children.
“It’s great to see so many kids out here, and so many Crows guernseys,” he said.
“You can see how much the kids enjoy it and the players have a bit of fun with it as well.”
After the clinic, Junior Members were treated to a free sausage and drink from the Crows Supporters Group, who were on hand to cook their ever popular BBQ.
