Chief Executive Steven Trigg has confirmed Dean Bailey will remain at Adelaide next year.
Media reports have linked Bailey to the senior coaching position at Essendon, which has become vacant following the 12-month suspension to James Hird. However, Bailey has reassured Trigg and coach Brenton Sanderson that he’s committed to Adelaide.
“Dean has given us an absolute, gilt-edged commitment that he’s staying,” Trigg said on FIVEaa on Thursday night.
“Dean’s really important to us. I think in the 16-odd games when he wasn’t there, we missed him. He’s as happy as can be here and he’s not going anywhere.”
Bailey joined Adelaide as Strategy and Innovation Coach ahead of the 2012 season.
