Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has embraced Lego as a new isolation hobby during the coronavirus pandemic.

Last month, the Crows No.13 turned 30 and was gifted a box of bricks from his wife Ellie.

“She kept asking me what I want… I just said Lego or something,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts.

“Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it, I got a Kombi Van and finished it last night.

“I need to get my experience up so I can teach the little fella (son Hugo).”

On Monday, players took part in their first contact session ahead of AFL’s return on June 11.

Walker admitted he woke up sore on Tuesday morning following the suspended period of impact training.

“Roo you know what it’s like when you don’t do any contract training for an extended period of time… jeez you’re sore the first day after,” Walker said.

“I did pull up a bit sore, (but) that’s the way we’re attacking it.

“We’ve only got four or five contact sessions between now and Round Two, we need to maximise everything between now and then.”

The Club will remain in Adelaide for at least an additional week after the SA Government approved contact training and a Showdown at Adelaide Oval.

Walker said just a few days extra with families would make all the difference.

“You can’t beat sleeping in your own bed, that’s certainly one thing,” he said.

Adelaide will take on the Power on Saturday, June 13 at 7.10pm (ACST).
