Young midfielder Matt Crouch has been cleared by the Match Review Panel for an incident involving Richmond captain Trent Cotchin at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

Crouch made high contact with Cotchin in the first quarter of Adelaide’s 36-point win.

The Match Review Panel deemed the contact was made with an open hand, and that the force used was below that required for a report.

Crouch, 20, was a solid contributor in Adelaide’s 36-point win over the Tigers. Playing his 19th AFL game and 11th of the season, the left-footer finished with 25 possessions, eight clearances, seven tackles and four inside 50ms.

Veteran James Podsiadly has also fallen foul of the tribunal.

Podsiadly has been offered a one-match ban with an early guilty plea for striking South Adelaide’s Sam Overall at Hickinbotham Oval on Saturday. The SANFL Incident Review Panel deemed the incident to be of careless conduct and of medium impact while alleging Podsiadly made high contact with Overall.

Podsiadly has until 9am Tuesday to decide whether to contest or accept the charge at the SANFL Tribunal, where he risks a two-match ban if found guilty.
