Adelaide forward Taylor Walker is determined not to forego the annual Easter egg hunt, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

But the 29-year-old told AFC Media the event was more so about his wife Ellie than his five-month-old son Hugo.

“It’s more for Ellie than Hugo, she enjoys Easter more than anyone,” Walker said.

“There will definitely be some Easter eggs, I love my chocolate.

“El’s parents will pop over and say g'day, we’ll have a bit of fun.”

Due to interstate border restrictions, Walker’s parents - like all families across the country - will not be able to visit for Hugo’s first Easter.

MALTHOUSE IDEA: Laird not in favour of controversial idea

The idea of relocating to Broken Hill before quarantine measures were put in place was discussed, but fleetingly.

“We spoke about it quite briefly, but we’re comfortable and set here in Adelaide,” Walker said.

“It’s easier for us to hang around, plus we would need to quarantine for two weeks when we came back (to South Australia) as well.”

Despite the chaotic situation of the pandemic, Walker said he was thankful he could spend more time with his son.

“He’s starting to teeth and has learnt to roll onto his belly… he hasn’t learnt how to roll the other way,” Walker said.

“It scares him a bit, but he’s going really well.

“7pm once we put him down is a nice bit of time for El and myself to relax with a ros? or a beer.”
