Patrick Dangerfield met with his manager Paul Connors at an Adelaide restaurant on Tuesday night, but he maintains he still hasn't decided whether he'll play at Adelaide next year or not.
Connors was in town with fellow Connors Sports Management manager Melissa Oberhofer to meet with several of his players, and dined with Dangerfield, Josh Jenkins, out-of-contract Tom Lynch and Rory Atkins.
Dangerfield falls out of contract at the end of the year, when he's set to become the hottest free agent in football should he not re-sign with the Crows.
The 25-year-old told radio station FIVEaa on Wednesday morning that his future wasn't even discussed with Connors at dinner.
"We went out for dinner last night, but in terms of meeting to discuss next season, that meeting hasn't happened," he said.
"It wasn't the meeting where I've made my decision … it's honestly been the last thing on my mind.
"[They came] over to see all their players, both Port Adelaide and Adelaide, to not only discuss contracts with a few – Tom Lynch is out of contract – but just check in."
Dangerfield said the recent death of coach Phil Walsh had pushed any thought of his contract to the back of his mind.
It has been an incredibly trying few weeks for the Crows but Dangerfield's performance has climbed to lofty heights.
After a 36-possession game against West Coast in round 15, he managed 27 disposals, 13 clearances and four tackles in the Crows' three-point win over Port Adelaide last Sunday.
He said Adelaide's precarious position in eighth spot meant focusing on the game rather than his contract status was simple.
"We need to win every game – such an important one on the weekend – so it's quite easy just to focus on footy," he said.
"My feeling towards the Club hasn't changed. I still love the place, but I just haven’t made a decision because it just hasn't been of huge importance to me recently."
