Adelaide enjoyed a Fantasy feast against Gold Coast in Round 17, with four Crows notching triple-figure scores against the Suns.

Once again it was Patrick Dangerfield who led the way for the Crows with a game-high 138 points from 36 possessions, eight tackles and a goal.

Dangerfield’s total was the fourth-highest for the round, trailing only Jack Gunston (161), Matt Priddis (142) and Luke Hodge (140). It was also Danger’s third-best score of the season and his seventh ton from his past nine games.

A dual-position player last year, Dangerfield was unlucky to miss out on a valuable DPP upgrade in the latest AFL Fantasy update.

Fellow midfielder Scott Thompson also found a heap of the footy at Adelaide Oval on Saturday. Thommo scored 118 points from 34 disposals, six tackles and four marks.

It’s been a fine Fantasy season for the 32-year-old Crow. Thompson has been incredibly consistent - he’s only failed to reach triple-figure totals in just four games this year.

Somehow, he remains underrated by Fantasy coaches with less than 2.5 per cent ownership. If you’re looking for a proven scorer with a point-of-difference to top off your midfield heading into Fantasy finals, Thompson could be your man.

Rory Laird (104) and Richard Douglas (102) were Adelaide’s other centurions against the Suns.

Laird continues to go from strength to strength and has fast become one of the most sought-after defenders in all of AFL Fantasy. Since Round Six, he’s averaged 94 points and has now scored five tons from his past seven games.

The former rookie was the eighth ranked backman for Round 17 off the back of his 32-possession performance, and remains Adelaide’s heaviest-scoring defender for the season by a long margin.

Two goals and 25 disposals helped Richard Douglas reach his best score since Round Two.

The 2010 Club Champion has a good record against Sydney – he’s averaged 110 points against the Swans and has a break even of just 61 points this weekend.

Sam Shaw deserves a mention in what was his first AFL game since Round 21, 2014.

The athletic backman gathered 14 possessions and four marks for a solid first-up score of 52. He’s only $230,000 and has an achievable break even of 37, but keep an eye on team selection given All Australian full-back Daniel Talia is expected to return to action this weekend.
