Crows utility Andy Otten has forced his way into the AFL’s Team of the Week for the first time of his career.
The 28-year-old earned a spot in a forward pocket following his career-best four-goal haul in wet conditions against Fremantle on Saturday night.
Otten took eight marks, including three contested, and laid four tackles to play an influential role in the Club’s 100-point victory at Adelaide Oval.
He was named alongside Sydney spearhead Lance Franklin and Melbourne’s Jeff Garlett on the full-forward line of the Round 10 Team of the Week.
Star midfielder Rory Sloane earned his sixth Team of the Week appearance of the season after yet another standout display.
The tough onballer relished the wet conditions against the Dockers to amass 30 possessions and apply a game-high 13 tackles. Sloane also won eight clearances, had five inside 50ms and kicked two goals in an influential display.
The 27-year-old was selected as rover in the Round 10 Team of the Week.
Richmond led the way with three representatives in this week’s side. Adelaide was joined by North Melbourne, Greater Western Sydney, Hawthorn, Geelong, Carlton, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs with two players apiece. One player from Port Adelaide, Sydney and Collingwood also made the Round 10 Team of the Week.
