Crows skipper Nathan van Berlo says the playing group is fully supportive of the Club’s decision to part ways with Brenton Sanderson.
The 28-year-old said the Club’s leadership group had been in contact with every player on the roster since Wednesday’s announcement.
Van Berlo, who captained the Crows for all three years of Sanderson’s tenure at West Lakes, said the players had complete confidence in the board’s call.
“Myself and the rest of the leadership group have touched base with every player on our list,” van Berlo said.
“As a collective we are 100 per cent united behind this board decision.”

After a Preliminary Final berth in Sanderson’s maiden season with the Club in 2012, the Crows failed to qualify for finals in the next two seasons.
Van Berlo echoed the sentiments of Crows Chairman Rob Chapman in saying the decision was made in the best interests of the Club moving forward.
“At the end of the day, we are in a performance-based industry,” van Berlo said.
“Over the last two years our results haven’t been up to the expectations that we expect of ourselves internally, and certainly the results that our fans expect of us.
“The board is put in place to make decisions in the best interests of the footy club and at times these tough decisions have to be made.
“As a playing group we are 100 per cent behind this board decision.”
