Sunday’s SANFL Grand Final promises to be a hotly contested affair as Norwood and Port Magpies clash in the first SANFL decider at Adelaide Oval since 1973.

It has been 15 years since the last time these two sides met in the SANFL Grand Final, which went the way of Port Adelaide, but it was the Redlegs who took the honours in their Semi Final meeting a fortnight ago.

Port finished on top at the end of the minor round, but Norwood is a strong chance to win its third consecutive SANFL flag for the first time since the 1880s.

The Legs could be bolstered by the return of three-time Magarey Medallist James Allan, while Port Magpies have added former Essendon-listed player Henry Slattery and forward John Butcher to its squad.

A big crowd is expected at Adelaide Oval on Sunday, with live television coverage available on Channel Seven and multiple radio outlets also broadcasting the match.
