Crows fanatic Michelle Coulls joked about the possibility, but never believed that she would be recognised as the millionth fan to pass through the turnstiles at Adelaide Oval this season.
Michelle joined the 44,969-strong crowd for Sunday’s final round match against St Kilda with partner Darren to celebrate the couple’s second wedding anniversary.
Traveling from the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, the pair had spoken about the millionth fan celebrations on the way to the ground.
The couple broke into hysterics when they were whisked away and informed of the good news when scanning their tickets.
“I’m so stoked, I can’t believe it,” Michelle said.
“We seriously were talking about it about an hour ago going ‘imagine if one of us was the millionth fan through the gates, how cool would that be?’
“But we didn’t actually think it was going to happen. I’m speechless.”
Michelle and Darren were presented with a Crows guernsey numbered the ‘one millionth’ by Chief Operating Officer Nigel Smart to mark the occasion
The pair were also awarded with 2015 Club memberships and a special match-day experience.
The millionth fan milestone capped off a magnificent year for the 19th Man, who also secured the record for the highest AFL home game attendance for Season 2014.
