Co-captain Erin Phillips is on track to play against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
Phillips is one of three inclusions in the Crows team for the crucial AFLW clash at Norwood Oval.
Draftee Marijana Rajcic will make her debut, while premiership forward Rachael Killian has been called up for her first game of the season.
Phillips, 32, will continue to be assessed, and given every chance to play against the Bulldogs.
Former Adelaide United captain Rajcic will be reunited with ex-Reds teammates Jenna McCormick and Ruth Wallace.
Remarkably, Rajcic, McCormick and Wallace played in the same W-League team in 2012-13.
“I’m super excited to get out there with Jenna and Ruthie again and take the same field,” Rajcic said.
“Back then, I loved soccer and had always played soccer, and Ruthie and Jenna did too.
“I never would’ve thought this would happen, that we’d end up playing AFLW in the same team.”
Rajcic and Wallace, who were both drafted by the Crows last year, also played together in premierships with Norwood in the inaugural SANFL Women’s League and also Adelaide University.
Named in a back pocket for Saturday’s game, Rajcic was hopeful her connection with Wallace would be an advantage on debut.
“When we both got drafted to the Crows we were like, ‘Cool, we already know each other and Jenna from before so it can’t not be good’,” she said.
“I played SANFL with Ruthie last year at Norwood. It helps because you know what she’s going to do, where she’s going to go and where she’s going to move.”
Joint-vice captain Angela Foley, who is serving a one-match suspension, and experienced pair Talia Radan and Sally Riley are the omissions from the team that lost to Melbourne. Riley and defender Anne Hatchard are the emergencies.
The Bulldogs have made one change to their team, with Jessica Anderson replacing last year's No.1 draft pick Isabel Huntington, who went down with a torn ACL last Sunday.
Saturday’s game starts at 1:35pm (SA) with gates open at 10am. Entry is free.
Full game day information is available here
The match will be broadcast live in Adelaide on 7Mate and nationwide on Fox Footy and the AFLW App.
Open from 10.30am until half time, the Crows Kids Zone will be in action outside the main gates and has plenty of fun and free activities for the young football fans.
Also near the main entrance is the membership marquee where Crows Women’s Team members can collect their limited edition bobbleheads upon presentation of their membership cards.
The Western Bulldogs are undefeated after two rounds, having beaten Fremantle and the Brisbane Lions.
The Crows won their only previous clash with the Dogs by 25 points at Whitten Oval last season.
The team is:
IN – Erin Phillips, Rachael Killian, Marijana Rajcic
OUT – Ange Foley (suspended), Talia Radan, Sally Riley (both omitted)
