Taylor Walker notched the third-best AFL Fantasy score in the competition for Round One to mark his first game as the new Crows skipper.
Walker, 24, monstered the Kangaroos in Sunday’s clash at Adelaide Oval. He booted six goals, took 15 marks, and collected 22 disposals on his way to 146 Fantasy points in a dominant display.
It was Tex’s second-highest Fantasy score of his career, just two points shy of his 148-point record from Round 22, 2012 against Melbourne.
Five behinds cost Walker an even higher total, but Fantasy coaches who took a punt on the burly forward were handsomely rewarded with a $34,000 price rise – the second-best spike in value behind only bargain Tiger Kamdyn McIntosh.
Three other Crows also passed the 100-point milestone on Sunday.
Goalsneak Eddie Betts rain riot with 21 possessions, eight marks, seven tackles along with four goals for a well-deserved 130 Fantasy points – the fifth-highest score of any player for the weekend.
It was Betts’ best score in almost five years, nearly topping his total of 134 from Round Seven, 2010 when he booted five majors from 21 disposals. He also reached 134 in the final round of 2007 on the back of another five-goal haul.
Eddie enjoyed a price hike of $29,000 for the fortunate 5,080 coaches who have him in their side.
Rory Sloane (112) continued his fine Fantasy form from last season to be Adelaide’s top-scoring midfielder for Round One.
Sloane, who was the only Crow to average over 100 points per game in 2014, racked up 26 disposals, six marks, five tackles and slotted two goals.

Richard Douglas was Adelaide’s fourth and final centurion with 102 points from a game-high 31 disposals.
The 2009 Crows Club Champion remains an underrated and underpriced Fantasy midfielder, selected in less than one per cent of all sides despite a tempting price tag of just $502,000.
Get on ‘Dougy’ early before his price rockets in the coming rounds.
Popular Fantasy picks Brodie Smith (93), Patrick Dangerfield (93) and Sam Jacobs (88) all contributed strongly in Adelaide’s 77-point win over the Roos.
But Rory Laird (91) could find his own Fantasy popularity rise during the week after an impressive outing to kick off the season.
The former rookie collected 24 touches, seven marks and kicked a goal off the back of a promising pre-season campaign which included another strong Fantasy outing against the Cats in Geelong.
Laird remains a bargain at just $360,000 if he can continue his recent Fantasy form.
Other bargain buys in Nathan van Berlo (70), Charlie Cameron (61), Tom Lynch (57) and Cam Ellis-Yolmen (49) also enjoyed solid starts to the season. Keep a close eye on this group over the coming rounds as their prices continue to swell.
