Adelaide’s AFLW players have been allocated an SANFLW club to support and line-up with if available during the 2018 season.
The 17 South Australian-based Crows players were split between the League’s six teams to try and spread the talent as evenly as possible.
Players selected in the 2017 AFLW Draft will remain with their original SANFL club, ensuring Marijana Rajcic and Ruth Wallace will stay at Norwood while Jess Allan, Eloise Jones and Brianna Walling will remain with Glenelg.
The 2018 SANFLW competition is likely to commence in February and will include 10 minor rounds as well as two weeks of finals, concluding in April.
As the competition runs at a similar time of year as the AFLW competition, which is held during February and March, the majority of Crows AFLW players are unlikely to line up in the local competition but will support their assigned clubs where possible.
The Crows’ NT-based players as well as co-captains Erin Phillips and Chelsea Randall and fellow All Australians Ebony Marinoff and Sarah Perkins have not been allocated to teams.
The Club’s SANFLW allocations are as follows:
Glenelg – Courtney Cramey, Dayna Cox, Rheanne Lugg, Jess Allan, Eloise Jones, Brianna Walling
North Adelaide – Talia Radan, Justine Mules
Norwood – Jenna McCormick, Sally Riley, Deni Varnhagen, Jessica Sedunary, Marijana Rajcic, Ruth Wallace
South Adelaide – Stevie-Lee Thompson, Anne Hatchard, Sarah Allan
Sturt – Georgia Bevan, Rhiannon Metcalfe, Becchara Palmer
West Adelaide – Abbey Holmes, Rachael Killian
