The Adelaide Football Club has finalised its coaching structure for season 2018 after appointing Brent Reilly as a development coach.
A veteran of 203 AFL games, Reilly returns to the Club as a replacement for Nathan van Berlo who has joined West Coast as midfield and stoppage coach.
Reilly was an assistant coach at the Henley Sharks this year, and was promoted to senior coach for next season before accepting the development role with the Crows.
Head of Football Brett Burton said Reilly would mentor Adelaide’s young defenders.
“Brent has a wealth of experience in the game and a real passion for helping players to reach their best,” Burton said.
“We’re pleased to have Brent back at the Club and to finalise our coaching group for 2018.”
Reilly will work closely with new assistant coach Ben Hart, who will oversee the defence at AFL level.
After joining Adelaide from the Sydney Swans, Josh Francou will look after the forwards. O’Keefe will support Francou in a forwards development role and also continue as the Club’s State League coach.
Paul Thomas has assumed the midfield development portfolio after two seasons with the defenders. Thomas will work alongside experienced assistant coach Scott Camporeale, who will remain in charge of the midfield at AFL level.
Matthew Clarke (ruck coach), Tate Kaesler (team defence) and Heath Younie (Development Manager) continue in their respective roles.
