Young Crows midfielder Matt Crouch is free to play in Showdown XL after his report for forceful high contact was thrown out by the Match Review Panel.
Crouch, 20, was reported for a bump on North Melbourne forward Jarrad Waite in the third quarter at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
However, it was the view of the Match Review Panel after accessing all available vision that there was no forceful high contact made to the head/neck region. Contact was instead made to the left shoulder/back region of Waite, and it was the view of the panel that no charge should be laid.
Crouch was one of Adelaide’s best players in the narrow loss to the Kangaroos. The third-year Crow collected 23 possessions, including a career-high 10 clearances and five inside 50ms, and also kicked a goal.
