The 22-point win over Melbourne was Adelaide’s sixth in succession.

It’s the Club’s fourth-longest winning streak in history. The Crows won 10 straight games between Rounds 13 and 22 in 2005, and seven consecutive matches during the 2006 and 2009 seasons.

At the completion of the bye rounds, the Crows are fifth on the AFL ladder as one of six teams with a record of 10 win and four losses. Only percentage separates second and seventh spot.

Despite winning Sunday’s game, the Crows (101) laid 27 more tackles than the Dees (74). It was Adelaide’s highest tackle count (101) in a game this season.

The Club has recorded its top-three tackle counts in 2016 in its past three games: 85 against North Melbourne last week, 89 against West Coast in Round 12 and 101 in Sunday’s win over Melbourne.

The Crows have now won four of their last six games at the MCG. They will return to the venue again next week to face Carlton on Sunday afternoon.

Eight Crows had 20 or more touches against Melbourne in an even team contribution. No Adelaide player had fewer than 10 possessions.

Brad Crouch topped Adelaide’s possession tally with 26, including more contested possessions (13) than any other Crow. He also won a game-high seven clearances and laid nine tackles.

For the second straight week, Rory Sloane laid 13 tackles to lead the competition in Round 15.

Sloane also recorded a game-high 32 pressure acts.

Rory Laird took a team-high 10 marks to go with 25 disposals at 80 per cent efficiency.

Pyke: Crows can still improve

Laird and wingman David Mackay each had four rebound 50ms.

Taylor Walker took an equal round and game-high four contested marks.

Jarryd Lyons generated seven forward 50m entries – more than any other player on the ground.

Lyons also collected 23 possessions (12 contested), won five clearances, laid five tackles and kicked a goal. He gained 548 metres – more than any other player at the G on Sunday.

The Crows kicked in excess of 100th points – 18.12 (120) – for the sixth straight game and 11th time this season.

The Crows had nine different goalkickers, including six multiple goalkickers. Taylor Walker, Eddie Betts and Richard Douglas each bagged three goals, while Charlie Cameron, Mitch McGovern and Josh Jenkins finished with two apiece.

Betts’ first goal against the Demons was his 150th goal from only 59 games for Adelaide.

Douglas equalled his personal-best of three goals, which he has now achieved on five occasions throughout his 185-game career.

Douglas and teammate Tom Lynch each had 11 score involvements on Sunday – only Coleman Medal leader Lance Franklin (12) had more in Round 15.

Lynch, who kicked one goal of his own, had a round and game-high four goal assists.

Matt Crouch won eight hard ball-gets – the equal second-most of any player for the round.

Defender Daniel Talia had 10 intercept possessions – ranked top-four in the League on the weekend.
