Sam Jacobs will take no further part in Adelaide’s game against Essendon on Sunday after injuring his ankle.
Jacobs, 28, rolled his left ankle in a marking contest early in the second quarter.
The ruckman had his ankle re-strapped by Crows medical staff and attempted to keep moving by riding the stationary bike, but he soon returned to the bench with ice applied to his ankle. He made his way to the change rooms at half time on crutches, and re-emerged in a moon boot as a precaution. Jacobs was in good spirits on the bench.
Jacobs will have scans in the coming days to determine the extent of the injury. More information will be provided at that time.
