Adelaide midfielder Jarryd Lyons has cautioned his teammates against thinking about a possible top-four finish.
The Crows beat Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday to rise to fifth on the ladder but Lyons says the Crows aren't looking too far ahead.
"We just want to make the finals before we start talking about top four, it's so close - you drop a couple of games here and there and all of a sudden you're out of the eight," he told reporters on Monday.
"We are, it's the old cliche, taking it one week at a time which is pretty much all we can do at the moment with how close it is.
"The club is in a good position at the moment and we're playing good footy which is the key."
The Crows are among six clubs with 10 wins and four losses - one win behind ladder leaders Hawthorn and also one victory ahead of eighth-placed West Coast.
Adelaide has logged six consecutive wins and return to the MCG this Sunday to play Carlton.
"The good thing is we go back to the 'G, that is where you have got to play your best footy, that is where it is all put on the line in September (in finals) so it will be nice to get back there again," Lyons said.
