Adelaide coach Don Pyke has lamented a missed opportunity after the Crows were over-run by West Coast at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
The Crows led by 33 points early in the second half but conceded 10 of the final 13 goals to lose by two straight kicks.
It's the second straight loss for the Crows on the back of last weekend's one-point defeat to Brisbane at the Gabba, seeing them slip to 5-5 after 10 rounds.
"We're really disappointed," Pyke said.
"We put a lot of energy and effort into the game and to walk away with a loss is disappointing.
"The players are feeling that.
"It was an opportunity, 30-odd points in front and to lose at home, it's disappointing."
The Crows walk off Adelaide Oval after their Round 10 loss to West Coast
After building momentum with four straight wins between rounds five to eight, the Crows now suddenly find themselves on the cusp of dropping out of the top eight ahead of next weekend's trip to Darwin to face Melbourne.
"The last two weeks, we've been in both games of footy, but we walk away with nothing," Pyke said.
"We've just got to be able to do it for longer.
Tonight, we were really strong for the first half, but we got run over the top by an experienced side who played well.
Pressure will again come on the Crows to recall experienced forward Josh Jenkins for youngster Elliott Himmelberg, who kicked 0.1 from six disposals against the Eagles.
But Himmelberg's influence, along with that of co-captain Taylor Walker – who didn't trouble the scoreboard, but had 12 disposals, eight contested – wasn't helped by the absence of key link-up forward Tom Lynch, who missed the game with a hamstring injury.
"They (Himmelberg and Walker) did a pretty solid job at getting the ball to ground," Pyke said.
"I don't think we connected as well, we didn't use the ball as well forward of centre.
"That left us either wide or shallow in terms of our entries, but we'll review that in terms of what's the most effective forward structure in terms of personnel going forward."
The Crows had the bye in the SANFL this weekend, meaning the likes of Jenkins and Bryce Gibbs will have to be called up on previous form.
Pyke was hopeful Lynch would return to face the Demons after he returned to running on Saturday.
Midfielder David Mackay will also be monitored during the week after he was a late scratching with a virus.
