Forward Josh Jenkins has been ruled out of Showdown XLII because of injury.
Jenkins, who suffered bruised ribs in Adelaide’s win over Hawthorn last weekend, has been replaced in the team by defender Jake Lever.
Lever will play his first AFL game of the year.
The promising 21-year-old, who missed the JLT Community Series because of a hamstring strain, regained match fitness in two SANFL trial games last month.
Forward Troy Menzel, ruckman Reilly O’Brien and draftee Myles Poholke are the emergencies.

The clash between the top two teams on the AFL ladder is a Port Adelaide ‘home’ game.
The match starts at 7:10pm local and gates open at 5pm.
Reigning Showdown Medallist Matt Crouch will play his 50th game on Saturday night.

Eldest Crouch brother, Brad, will return from a hamstring injury in Adelaide’s SANFL season opener against Sturt at Unley on Sunday. The game starts at 2:10pm.
