Adelaide’s 100-point win over Fremantle on Saturday night was the Club’s biggest of the season. It was the Crows’ second-biggest win over the Dockers.
The victory consolidated top spot on the ladder for the Crows, who now have the best percentage (145%) in the competition.
Rory Atkins amassed a career-high 37 possessions against the Dockers surpassing his previous best of 32. This included a 24 kicks – the most of any player in Round 10.
Atkins also gained 737 metres – ranked third for the round.
For the seventh time this season, midfielder Matt Crouch collected 30 or more disposals. Crouch finished with 35 touches, six tackles, five clearances and five inside 50ms.
Matt and Brad Crouch, who had 30 disposals, fell just four possessions short of equalling the AFL record for combined possessions by brothers in a game. Port Adelaide pair Chad and Kane Cornes hold the record with 69 combined possessions.
Defender Jake Lever took 11 marks – the equal-most of any player for the round.
Lever collected a season-high 29 possessions, including 16 intercept possessions – ranked No.2 in Round 10. He also had a combined 12 inside and rebound 50ms – ranked equal-second.
Vice-captain Rory Sloane laid a game-high 13 tackles. Sloane has applied six more tackles (90) this season than the next-best player in the competition, Melbourne co-captain Jack Viney (84).
Adelaide won the tackle count against Fremantle, 83 – 73.
Sloane and Brad Crouch each had eight clearances. The Crows won the clearances, 41 – 36.
Of Sloane’s 30 possessions, 17 were contested – a game-high.
He ranked equal-fourth for score involvements (12) for the round.
In heavy conditions, Adelaide won more contested possessions (177) than any other team for the round.
The Crows also had the highest contested possession differential, winning 38 more contested possessions than the Dockers – the second-highest differential in a game this season.
The Crows inflicted Fremantle coach Ross Lyon’s first-ever 100-point defeat.
Adelaide generated 72 inside 50ms – level with Collingwood as the most for the round.
On Saturday night, the Crows kicked 140 or more points for the sixth time this season. They also held Fremantle to its lowest score of the season, 6.7 (43).
Swingman Andy Otten kicked a career-high four goals against Fremantle.
Young onballer Wayne Milera Junior also equalled his personal best with three goals. The 19-year-old’s skills shone in the wet as he recorded a disposal efficiency of 87.5 per cent – the best of any player on the ground.
Milera was one of four Crows to boot three goals along with Eddie Betts, Charlie Cameron and Josh Jenkins.
In his second game, Hugh Greenwood attended nine centre bounces.
