Three key Cats will need to prove their fitness ahead of Friday night's top-of-the-table clash with the Crows.
Former Crow Patrick Dangerfield heads the list after suffering bone bruising in his left foot. The injury the result of a collision with Hawk Jarryd Roughead on Saturday at the MCG.
The midfielder played out the game up forward and kicked 5.6 to steer the Cats to a three-point win over Hawthorn.
Dangerfield arrived at Kardinia Park on Monday morning sporting a moon boot on his left foot.
Speaking to the media, he confirmed that he’d wait until the last minute before making a decision on his availability.
"So much plays out between today and Friday," Dangerfield said.
"There is a bit of bone bruising there. It is a bit sore but everyone plays with a bit of soreness this time of the year. It is a bit of a suck it and see to be totally honest."
Doubt also surrounds fellow onballer Scott Selwood (hamstring soreness) and Andrew Mackie (wrist) who were both late withdrawals from Geelong’s Round 17 side.
Speaking on Monday morning, Selwood said the final decision will remain in the hands of Geelong medical staff.
“There was a little bit of tightness through my hips and legs. It was pretty much after training and leading into the game,” Selwood told radio station K Rock.
"I’m going to run around Wednesday and see how I feel, and from there I’ll let the medicos make a call."
