A midfield maestro, Rory Sloane is a tackling machine, ball magnet, and clearance king. Another five years in Crows colours will only make those numbers grow.

3806 – Sloane ranks 11th for total disposals at the Club, an average of 22.26 a game.

1964 – Contested possessions are a key reason why Sloane’s game is elite. Averaging 11.49, only Patrick Dangerfield averaged more contested possessions for the Crows, while overall only Scott Thompson has more than Sloane.

1878 – Sloane’s handball average of 10.98 is sixth all-time for the Crows and his 1878 handballs are the eighth highest.

962 – Second all-time for tackles at the Crows, only Thompson (1313) has more. Sloane averages 5.63 per game.

709 – With an average of 4.15 clearances a game, Sloane is seventh overall. In 2017 he had 152 clearances, fourth highest for Adelaide.

187 – The number of tackles Sloane had in 2017, a season-best in the AFL at an average of 7.79. Only Matt Priddis (twice) and Scott Selwood have had more tackles in a season.

38 – His career-best haul for disposals, Sloane finished with 20 handballs, 18 kicks, 14 clearances and nine tackles against West Coast in Round 23, 2017. He also had 23 contested possessions. The 14 clearances were the second most all-time for the club.

2 – 2013 and 2016 saw Sloane named Club Champion. He was runner-up in 2014 and 2017.

1 – League-wide, Sloane was All-Australian vice-captain in 2016 and an All-Australian nominee in 2017. He was also named AFLPA Most Courageous Player in 2017.
