Lachlan Murphy went from Crowmania shop assistant to AFL footballer in 2018 after making his senior debut in Round One against Essendon.
After taking out the Dean Bailey Award in 2017 for the best SANFL development squad player, the 18-year-old was given his opportunity as a rookie and quickly proved his worth.
He played in Adelaide’s first JLT Community Series match against Fremantle and kicked three goals.

Murphy enjoyed his first AFL win in Round Two after kicking two goals, recording 10 touches, three tackles and four inside 50s.
In his 11 AFL games this year, he averaged 8.7 disposals, 3.7 tackles and over a goal per game.
