Adelaide rookie Patrick Wilson will not be eligible for selection for the first two rounds of the 2019 AFL season after being caught drink-driving.
The 24-year-old will have to attend a number of education and community programs, as well as pay a $2500 fine which will be donated to an appropriate charity.
Crows Head of Football Brett Burton said the Club was extremely disappointed in Wilson’s actions.
“It is a serious breach of the standards we set for our players, coaches and staff both on and off the field, and importantly the expectations of the wider community,” Burton said.
“Paddy is obviously regretful of his actions, has taken full responsibility, and the Club will provide him with the necessary support and further education.”
The Club will be making no further comment.
