First-year Crow Tyson Stengle was among 28 players that flew to the Gold Coast on Wednesday morning ahead of the side's clash with the Suns on Saturday night.
Young Crows Riley Knight, Elliott Himmelberg and Ben Davis were also in the 28, along with veterans Andy Otten and Sam Jacobs.
Stengle – who played two AFL games with Richmond in 2017 – has made an impression in his first season with the Crows, the 20-year-old banging the door down with 22 goals in 12 SANFL games.
INJURY UPDATE: Three Crows facing tests
Speaking to media at Adelaide Airport, Crows senior assistant coach Scott Camporeale said Stengle was deserving of an opportunity.
"He's obviously around the mark, we think he's in really good form... whether it's this week, we'll make that decision later in the week," Camporeale said.
"He's been having shots on goal, that's the most important thing as a small forward.
"He's getting up the ground, putting pressure on and he's averaging at least five or six shots on goal and we've exposed him a little bit through the midfield as well.
"He's gaining more capacity and a lot of trust with the players and the match committee."
RULED OUT: Lynch to miss Suns clash
Otten could get his chance if key defenders Daniel Talia (ankle) and Alex Keath (knee) fail fitness tests at Thursday's main session.
"Those guys are a bit sore after the weekend, so he'll come up as one of those 28 guys and we'll see how they train and assess whether he needs to come in," Camporeale said.
"To be quite honest, Andy's probably been our best player in the SANFL for the last couple of weeks, so he deserves an opportunity."
