Adelaide has secured the signatures of four key players with Hannah Munyard, Danielle Ponter, Zoe Prowse, and Madison Newman each extending their stay at West Lakes.

Munyard has signed a two-year deal until 2026, while Ponter, Prowse and Newman have signed one-year extensions.

Munyard’s re-signing follows a career-best season where she averaged 9.1 disposals and was awarded the NAB AFLW Goal of the Year.

“Hannah had a great year and really stepped up in the forward line to provide us with some X-factor,” Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said.

“It was great to see her get some reward for effort this season and we are really excited to have her recommit to the Club to 2026.”

The AFLW’s all-time leading goal kicker, Ponter continued her strong form this season by kicking multiple goals in seven games including a five-goal haul in Week Three against Hawthorn.

“We are thrilled to have Danielle sign on for another year, she plays a really important role in both our forward line and midfield,” Harper said.

“Her work at centre bounces and ability to go forward and hit the scoreboard is a role she has really embraced and something that adds a different dynamic to our side.”

Prowse enjoyed a breakout season this year, averaging 9.5 disposals, 3.5 spoils and 2.1 tackles to be named in the AFL Players’ Association AFLW 22Under22 team and crowned the Crows’ Best Defensive Player for a second consecutive season.

“Zoe is a great teammate and this year took her game to a new level as a key member of our backline,” Harper said.

“At only 21 we know there is a lot more to come so we are looking forward to seeing her continue to develop her game.”

Newman, 23, was one of the Crows’ leading ball-winners this season, averaging 19.4 disposals, 3.1 inside 50s and 3.4 tackles and finished eighth in the Best and Fairest.

“We love what Maddi brings and are really pleased with her progression over the past six seasons,” Harper said.

“Her attack on the footy and delivery into the forward line is a great asset and we are looking forward to her continuing her good form next season.”
