Adelaide will challenge co-captain Taylor Walker’s rough conduct charge at the AFL Tribunal.
Walker was offered a $2,000 sanction with an early plea by the AFL Match Review Officer on Monday for an incident involving Port Adelaide defender Riley Bonner in the opening quarter of Saturday’s JLT Community Series clash in Port Pirie.
The forward will face the Tribunal on Tuesday evening from approximately 5pm Melbourne time.
If the challenge is unsuccessful, Walker’s sanction of $3,000 will stand.
Walker confirmed on Triple M Adelaide on Tuesday morning he was contesting the charge, describing the incident as ‘part of our game’.
