It’s been an eventful off-season for our Crows AFLW players since they claimed victory in the Grand Final at the end of March.
While several travelled interstate to compete in the VLFW season, others took the opportunity to see the world.
Midfielder Ebony Marinoff set off on a two-month long adventure through Europe, northern Africa and the UK.
With plenty incredible spots to choose from, the 21-year-old could not go past Croatia as her favourite location.
It was the first time in her three years at the Club that Marinoff had taken a break from football during the off-season, after representing the Darebin Falcons in the VFLW in 2017 and the NT Thunder in 2018.
Fellow midfielder Justine Mules also caught the travel bug as she explored parts of Europe with fiancé Liv, as well as Mules’ mother for parts of the trip.
Adelaide’s 2018 leading goalkicker Stevie-Lee Thompson visited family on the North Island of New Zealand in her home city of Napier.
She was also among a number of Crows who represented the NT Thunder in the VFLW, along with Danielle Ponter.
Ruck Rhiannon Metcalfe travelled to Cham Island just off Vietnam, before heading back to Adelaide to complete her next phase of rehab after rupturing her ACL in the pre-season.
Metcalfe is now back running and has her sights firmly set on Round One, 2020.
Defender Sarah Allan also took an extended break this off-season, spending four weeks travelling the West Coast of the United States and Canada.
After spending most of her junior football career also travelling to play, she decided to use the time away from football to refresh and visit some of her bucket list destinations.

Co-captain Chelsea Randall and defender Marijana Rajcic visited Ireland to meet up with teammate Ailish Considine in her hometown of Clare.
The pair joined Considine for her local Gaelic football trainings and spent the rest of their time exploring the country.
They were shortly joined by midfielder Anne Hatchard who has travelled Ireland for another trip away after briefly visiting Hawaii with her family in June.
After the grand final, co-captain Erin Phillips and her family returned to Texas, where Phillips recommenced her role as assistant coach of the Dallas Wings along with rehabbing her knee at the Michael Johnson Performance centre.
Last Wednesday, Phillips and her wife Tracy welcomed a baby boy – Drew Chayce Phillips – to their family, a brother to twins Blake and Brooklyn.
Winger Deni Varnhagen has also taken time away from her busy schedule to travel to Bali with her family for her father Tony’s 60th birthday.
Vice-captain Courtney Cramey jetted off to Fiji to enjoy some sun and refresh after spending most of the winter coaching the SANFLW Crows exhibition team.
