O’Brien recorded a career-best 54 hit-outs (22 to advantage), 19 disposals, seven tackles, seven inside-50s and six clearances.
His previous best was 44 hit-outs against Fremantle in Round Seven.
The 23-year-old topped the AFL for Champion Data points in Round 13 with 181.4, ahead of Josh Dunkley (173.4 points) for the Western Bulldogs.
Midfielder Brad Crouch passed 40 disposals for the third time in his career, this time for a career-high 43 touches with 27 kicks.
That included a game-high 18 contested possessions, 11 clearances and six inside-50s.
In his 100th AFL game, younger brother Matt Crouch was close behind with 35 disposals, while the pair both had 24 uncontested possessions.

Brad is averaging 31.8 disposals per game in 2019 while Matt averages 31.9.
Forward Josh Jenkins fired with four goals, taking his total to nine in the past three games.
Jenkins had a season-high 17 disposals, including 10 in the forward-50, and chimed in with eight hit-outs.
Taylor Walker kicked three majors and has 22 goals for the season.
The co-captain finished with 18 touches, seven contested possessions and eight marks - five inside-50.

Across half-back he picked up eight marks, eight rebound-50s and three inside-50s.
Co-captain Sloane booted two goals, collected 28 touches, 16 contested possessions, nine clearances and six inside-50s.
Atkins, meanwhile, snapped up 29 disposals, including 25 kicks, 11 marks and seven inside-50s. He kicked one goal.
Adelaide totalled a round-high 427 disposals while Richmond ranked equal eighth with 358.
The Crows were equal-first with Fremantle for contested possessions, 161, and second for clearances, 48.
