Adelaide co-captains Taylor Walker and Rory Sloane will lead an experienced side onto Port Pirie’s Memorial Oval in this Saturday’s pre-season Showdown.

Senior leaders Josh Jenkins, Matt Crouch, Richard Douglas and Tom Lynch have all been included in the 26-man squad to face the Power, while midfielder Brad Crouch is set to play his second game of the summer after successfully returning from injury in the Club’s trial game last weekend.

First-round draft selection Chayce Jones will get his opportunity to impress coaching staff, while second-year forward Darcy Fogarty has been named alongside Jenkins and Walker in the Crows forward line.

The Crows will take two ruckmen into the game, with veteran Sam Jacobs to share the load with Reilly O’Brien.

Experienced duo Bryce Gibbs (shoulder) and David Mackay (AC joint) will be managed this week but are expected to play in Adelaide’s second JLT Community Series game against GWS next Friday.

Meantime, Hugh Greenwood (abdominal) and Daniel Talia (knee) are both aiming for selection for JLT2 in Canberra.

The AFL has announced it will enact its heat policy, with modified conditions for the pre-season fixture.

The breaks at quarter and three-quarter time will span 10 minutes with half-time to lengthen to 22 minutes.

Both teams will also be permitted to have two additional water carriers, while trainers are permitted to enter the arena at any time during the match to deliver water.

Saturday’s game in Port Pirie starts at 3.40pm, with gates open from 12pm. With the game set to be a sell-out, the Club recommends members guarantee entry by using their membership card to register for a general admission ticket through Ticketek.

All JLT Community Series matches will be broadcast on Fox Footy.
