Adelaide has added three players to its extended squad for its Week Eight match against Collingwood on Sunday.

Midfielder Abbie Ballard returns to the squad after recovering from a knock to her knee, while first-year players Amy Boyle Carr and Lily Tarlinton have also been named.

Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said the three inclusions had trained well to put their names up for selection.

“Abbie trained really strongly on Wednesday, she’s running well again, which is a great thing to see because she was pretty worried when she first injured that knee,” Harper said.

“We couldn’t have been happier with Lily’s performance in her first game and she was definitely unlucky not to play last week, so she filled the selectors with confidence.

“Amy was managed last week, she played a full season of Gaelic football before coming to us, but she’s got some great speed, which is always a handy asset.”

Adelaide will name its final team on Friday at 4.30pm (ACDT).

The game will mark the first time the two sides have faced off against each other since Round Four in Season Seven (2022).

Adelaide takes on Collingwood at Victoria Park, Melbourne, on Sunday, with the first bounce at 4.35pm (ACDT).

The game will be broadcast live on 7mate Adelaide, Fox Footy and Kayo from 4.30pm.
