Utility Najwa Allen is tracking well in her rehabilitation from a hamstring injury, the Club continuing taking a conservative approach in her recovery.

Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said she had been progressing well in recent weeks however would not be available for selection this weekend.

“It’s been a frustrating season for Naj, she’s tracking well but we are being extremely cautious with her to try to get her 100 per cent right for her to play late in the year and the finals if we make it,” Harper said.

“She won’t play this week, she’s a possibility for next week but definitely the week after that is when we will roll the dice with her.

“It’s a difficult one because she’s an important player, we want to give her every opportunity to make the side but one more setback would probably be season over for her.”

Midfielder Abbie Ballard is expected to be available for selection, providing she gets through training following a minor knee injury.

“Abbie hurt her knee in the last game she played, she just fell heavily on it and had some fluid drained out of it,” Harper said.

“It’s responded well so she should be available for selection this week, we will test her out on Wednesday in our main training session, but everything is indicating she will be right for selection this week.”
