Adelaide Co-Captain Ebony Marinoff has moved into top spot on the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year leaderboard, after two scintillating performances.

Marinoff caught the eyes of the coaches in both the Crows’ Week Seven matches, against Melbourne and GWS, respectively.

In Adelaide’s Wednesday night match against the Demons, Marinoff finished with a game-high 29 disposals, 17 tackles, 10 clearances and 535 metres gained to poll nine votes.

The three-time Premiership midfielder backed it up in Adelaide’s game against GWS on Sunday, being awarded a perfect 10 for a career-high 41 possessions (26 contested), 17 tackles, 12 clearances and eight score involvements.

Marinoff is now on 71 votes, ahead of North Melbourne’s Ash Riddell (62 votes).

Against the Demons, ruck Jess Allan (two votes), Chelsea Randall and Anne Hatchard (one apiece) rounded out the Crows’ vote getters.

In Sunday’s game, Irish star Niamh Kelly (six votes), Caitlin Gould (four), Jess Allan (three), Danielle Ponter (three) and Sarah Goodwin (one) stood out to the coaches.
