Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson and Vice Captain Ben Keays capped standout 2024 seasons by being awarded the Malcolm Blight Medal on Saturday night.
It is the first time the Club’s highest individual award has been shared by two players.
Ruck Kieran Strachan was rewarded for an outstanding SANFL campaign by claiming the 2024 Crows SANFL Best and Fairest.
Here is every award winner:
19th Man/Members’ MVP Award - Ben Keays
Ben Keays was not only recognised by the coaches for his outstanding season, but also by Adelaide’s Members.
Members have voted on their MVP of the season every year since 1998 and it is the first time Keays has claimed the award.
Dr. Brian Sando OAM Trophy - Ben Keays
Keays claimed a third award at the Club Champion event, this time being recognised for his professionalism and preparation to play at the highest level.
The award was introduced in 2012 to honour the memory of long-serving Crows doctor and life member Brian Sando OAM, who passed away due to illness.
It is the second time Keays has claimed the accolade, having won the award in 2022.
Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award - Jake Soligo
Young gun Jake Soligo was rewarded for his strong season with the Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award.
Soligo, who was in his third AFL season in 2024, played all 23 games, averaging 22 disposals and 3.91 clearances.
The Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award recognises the achievements of a player as the best ‘all round’ emerging talent.
Crows Foundation Community Award - Reilly O’Brien
Ruckman Reilly O’Brien has won the Crows Foundation Community Award for the second consecutive year.
O'Brien was recognised for his advocacy in mental health support in South Australia and his work in reducing the stigma with honest discussions about his personal experience with mental health challenges.
The 29-year-old is an ambassador and lead facilitator for the Parachute Mental Health Program, a program developed through a partnership between the Crows Foundation and the Sebastian Foundation, which takes a preventative approach to mental health and uses peer-to-peer methods to help educate youths about coping mechanisms.
It follows O’Brien claiming the AFL’s 2024 Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award.
Dean Bailey Award - Stephen Tahana
Adelaide SANFL development player Stephen Tahana was awarded the 2024 Dean Bailey Award.
The Dean Bailey Award assesses on-field performance, dedication to training and overall commitment to the team, in honour of the late Strategy and Innovations coach’s passion for nurturing young footballers.
Tahana played 18 State League games for the Crows this past season, averaging 8.9 disposals and being tasked with playing on some of the SANFL’s best small forwards.
Players’ Trademark Award - Jordan Dawson
Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson claimed the Players’ Trademark Award for a second year in a row.
The Award is voted on by the players and coaches, and is presented to the person who best embodied the players' trademark throughout the season.
It is another accolade for Dawson, who also won a back-to-back Malcolm Blight Medal.
Phil Walsh Best Team Man - Reilly O’Brien
Adelaide ruckman Reilly O’Brien is now a three-time winner of the Phil Walsh Best Team Man Award.
The Best Team Man Award has been presented every year since the Club’s inaugural season.
It was renamed in 2015 in honour of the late Crows coach and recognises the Club’s most selfless player who lives and breathes ‘team-first’ - a staple mantra of Walsh.
O’Brien, who was also recognised for the same award in 2022 and 2023, once again showed commitment to his teammates and the Club, ensuring he was a frontrunner for the award.
Leading Goal Kicker - Darcy Fogarty
Forward Darcy Fogarty was crowned Adelaide’s 2024 leading goal kicker for the first time.
Fogarty produced a career-best season, kicking 41 goals to surpass his previous best of 34 in 2023.
The 24-year-old, who was also part of the Club’s Leadership Group in 2024, lined up in 23 games this season and took a total of 111 marks.
