Exciting forward turned midfielder Izak Rankine has finalised a two-year contract extension that ties him to Adelaide until at least the end of 2027.
Rankine, 24, has been one of the Club’s best performers this season, averaging 19 possessions and two goals a game, with his foot speed, elite ball use and game sense allowing him to spend considerable time in the midfield.
Now in his second season at the Crows, he joined the Club via a trade with Gold Coast where he played 48 games after being selected at Pick 3 in the 2018 National Draft.
“Since moving back home to Adelaide and playing for the Crows, I couldn’t be happier,” Rankine said.
“Everyone has really embraced me and we’ve got such a good bunch of people, the players, coaches and staff.
“This season has definitely had its challenges but I know good things are ahead for us.”
Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid described Rankine as an influential player both on and off the field.
“Izak is an elite talent and he has taken his game to another level this season,” Reid said.
“In particular his ability to play up the ground and add another dimension to our midfield, and he is obviously an integral part of our team and future.”
