Captain Jordan Dawson is on track to be available to play Geelong on Saturday afternoon as he recovers from concussion.
Dawson is progressing through the AFL’s concussion protocols after being subbed out of Adelaide’s Round 19 match against Essendon and missing last weekend.
“Jordan has got through all his protocols so far and is in the hands of the doctors,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.
“He has to get through full contact training tomorrow, but we expect him to do that and be available for the weekend.”
Key defender Nick Murray is also expected to be available after missing Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
“Muz missed out last week, more or less as a precaution and he’s trained really well,” Burgess said.
“Assuming he gets through training tomorrow he’ll be available, and we are expecting that to be the case.”
Defender Brodie Smith and midfielder Matt Crouch missed last weekend’s AFL and SANFL matches due to illness but are expected to be available for selection this week.
“Brodie and Matt came down with a virus, so they weren’t able to play on the weekend,” Burgess said.
“Fortunately, they have recovered really well, and they’ll take part in training tomorrow and should be available this week.”
