Young midfielder Billy Dowling will make his AFL debut against Richmond at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night.

The 19-year-old South Australian was drafted to the Crows with Pick No. 43 in the 2022 AFL National Draft and has impressed in the SANFL for the Crows this season.

Dowling has averaged 24.1 disposals, 5.4 clearances. 4.6 marks and 5.9 tackles across eight games for Adelaide’s State League side in 2024.

Last weekend he gathered 30 disposals, including 21 kicks, and laid six tackles against West Adelaide.

Dowling played junior football for North Adelaide and St Peter’s College before being drafted and will become the 262nd AFL player to represent the Crows.
