Coach Phil Walsh jetted across four states in three days to welcome Adelaide’s newest draftees.
Walsh sat on Adelaide’s table at the National Draft on the Gold Coast on Thursday night, and was delighted to welcome first-round draftee Jake Lever and his family to the Club in person.
After spending the night in Queensland, Walsh flew down the east coast to Melbourne on Friday to meet with Sandringham Dragons recruit Harry Dear and his family.

The 2004 AFLCA Assistant Coach of the Year then made the four-hour trip across the Nullarbor that afternoon to greet West Australian Mitch McGovern, the younger brother of West Coast Eagles forward Jeremy.
Walsh returned to Adelaide on Sunday morning and welcomed local left-footer Harrison Wigg, before heading back to the airport to greet Victorians Lever and Dear as they arrived after lunch.
Leadership group members Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane and Taylor Walker were also on hand to meet their new teammates at the terminal.
