Crows coach Don Pyke has declared his satisfaction with Adelaide's 17-point win over Port Adelaide at Port Pirie on Saturday afternoon.

After the Power opened up an 18-point lead at the 23-minute mark of the opening term, the Crows booted 12 of the next 16 goals on their way to a 16.10 (106) to 14.5 (89) victory, staving off a last-quarter charge from Ken Hinkley’s men.

“We got what we wanted out of the game,” Pyke told reporters post-game.

“It was a good hit-out for our guys. We saw some of the things we’ve been working on.

“Probably a bit slow to start but then found our way into the groove and I was really happy with what we did.”

Pyke said it was ‘pretty much all clear’ for the Crows in terms of injuries, with forward Riley Knight the only minor concern.

“Riley Knight just jammed his foot up a little bit but we’re pretty hopefully that’ll be alright,” he said.

“It was just no-risk with him.”

The Crows travel to Canberra to face Greater Western Sydney on Friday night, with Pyke expecting the clash to be a dress rehearsal for Round One.
