Three-time Adelaide Premiership star Sarah Allan is in line to play her first AFLW game of the year, after successfully navigating a return from a hamstring injury.
The Vice Captain and three-time All Australian has not featured in a match this year, after tearing her hamstring in August.
Allan headlines three inclusions to the extended squad, with wing Deni Varnhagen and utility Lisa Whiteley also named.
Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Allan had got through all the tests and training this week, proving she was ready to play.
“Sarah has completed two weeks of heavy load training and is right to go for Sunday’s game,” Harper said.
“As a three-time All-Australian, putting Sarah back in was an easy decision, especially with the tall forwards North Melbourne has at its disposal.
“Sarah has put in a mountain of work to overcome what was a serious injury and our whole team is looking forward to her return.”
The Crows will be looking to bounce back from a loss against Brisbane and solidify their top-two standing in the penultimate round of the season.
North Melbourne, meanwhile, is in third place on the ladder, one win behind Adelaide.
Harper encouraged all Crows Members and fans to attend the side’s final home game of the minor round.
“The Kangaroos are a formidable opponent, highlighted by the fact that they have the best percentage in the competition, so it promises to be a great game of football and the winner will likely finish in the top two,” Harper said.
“We encourage all Crows fans to get to Norwood to support their team in what is probably our most important game so far this season.”
The Crows will name their final team on Friday at 4.30pm (ACDT).
The match will also mark the Crows’ Toyota Good for Footy Round, celebrating Toyota's significant contribution to Australian football, from grassroots to the elite level.
Adelaide takes on North Melbourne at Norwood Oval on Sunday at 2.35pm
