Adelaide AFLW Premiership star Hannah Munyard will play her first game of the 2023 season this Sunday, after successfully navigating her way back from injury.

The Crows have made one change to their team for the Round Five match against Gold Coast, including Munyard in the line-up.

Munyard, who featured in the Club’s Season Six flag win, has been sidelined for the past four games due to a hip injury sustained during pre-season.

Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Munyard “had been training well and pushing for selection”.

Dual Premiership winger Deni Varnhagen has been omitted.

Varnhagen moves from the extended bench to the emergencies list, joining Stevie-Lee Thompson and Lisa Whiteley.

Two-time flag winner Danielle Ponter will also play her 50th AFLW game this Sunday.

Adelaide takes on Gold Coast at Unley Oval on Sunday at 435pm.
