Adelaide has named an extended squad for its Qualifying Final against Sturt on Sunday.
The Crows have included 13 AFL-listed players in their squad, including Luke Nankervis, Billy Dowling, Hugh Bond, Tariek Newchurch, Brayden Cook, Sam Berry, Patrick Parnell, Will Hamill, Mark Keane, James Borlase, Lachlan Gollant, Tyler Brown and Jackson Hately.
SANFL Skipper Matt Wright and leadership player Jack Madgen, together with experienced League on-baller Louis Sharrad and utility Hugh Haysman have also been named.
They are joined in the squad by fellow SANFL-listed players Isaya McKenzie, Blayne O’Loughlin, Jarman Sigal, Riley Clamp, Jaidan Kappler, Tate Coleman and Stephen Tahana.
The Crows finished the minor round third on the ladder, setting up a clash with the Double Blues at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to the media at the Finals Launch, Godden said the side had a strong balance of AFL and SANFL-listed players.
“We’ve been competitive and that is a product of the strength of our whole squad, our AFL side has had a good year and our SANFL squad has reaped the benefits of that,” Godden said.
“Our development players have also been fantastic.
“Those guys will get their opportunity (in the finals) and all year they have shown they can match it with hardened SANFL players.”
Adelaide plays Sturt in the Qualifying Final at Adelaide Oval on Sunday at 3.15pm.
