Adelaide has made one change for its Round 17 match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium.

The Crows take on the Bombers on Sunday and have named wingman/half-back Lachlan Sholl in the starting 22.

Sholl came on as the substitute in the Crows’ victory over North Melbourne last weekend, replacing defender Jordon Butts, due to concussion.

Defenders James Borlase and Patrick Parnell join midfielder Harry Schoenberg and forward Elliott Himmelberg as the emergencies.

One of the four will be announced as this week’s substitute an hour before the first bounce.

Adelaide Senior Coach Matthew Nicks said on Thursday he expected a tough game against the Bombers.

“We’ve had our chances away from home, games we could have won but didn’t,” Nicks said.

“So that is our work on, to stay composed and take advantage of our opportunities when they come.

“We are really looking forward to this challenge, there aren’t many bigger (tests) at the moment, Essendon is playing great footy so we are really excited for this test.”

The Crows take on Essendon at Marvel Stadium this Sunday, with the first bounce at 2.50pm (ACST).
