Adelaide fans have selected their best team of the opening 13 rounds of the 2023 AFL season.

On Wednesday, fans were asked to select their 22 from Adelaide’s full playing list based on who they believed to be the Club’s standout players of the season at the midway point of the year.

Up forward, Taylor Walker, Darcy Fogarty and Riley Thilthorpe led the way in the key positions with Izak Rankine, Josh Rachele and Luke Pedlar rounding out the six.

In the midfield, Reilly O’Brien claimed the ruck position with skipper Jordan Dawson and disposal king Rory Laird included in the side.

Veteran Rory Sloane also secured his place, alongside young gun Jake Soligo and work horse Ben Keays.

Down back, Nick Murray and Jordon Butts took the tall spots, with leadership group duo Brodie Smith and Tom Doedee’s experience sure to be important.

Max Michalanney, who is enjoying a breakout debut year, and Mitch Hinge complete the defensive unit.

Tenacious small forward Lachlan Murphy and lethal kick Lachlan Sholl found themselves on the interchange alongside Chayce Jones, who just signed a three-year contract extension.

Ned McHenry, who has regularly impressed as the sub, completes the fans’ team selection for the Bye Round.
